Drysuit shopping, southampton area..

I am going to be in Southampton in the next couple of weeks, and a new drysuit for out in the RIB is on me shopping list.
Can any one give me any pointers as to where I might start looking/ shopping
in the area. ? Any particular shops that may spring to mind.
While I think of it, whats the general consensus latex or Neoprene seals?,
and breathable or non breathable suits.?
Many thanks, Southern.

Yep, another vote for Andy at Andark. Have used them several times over the years, and they have always been incredibly helpful, and in my experience reasonably priced.

There is a very good Gul outlet shop in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.
Both seal materials are OK, some are sensitive to latex(!), so down to personal choice.
For serious wet weather work, I favour non-breathable.

Sadly the Gul outlet in Gunwharf has gone. I was down there the other week and it isn't where it used to be, and I didn't see it anywhere else in Gunwharf either. I was looking for the Gul Code Zero drysuit!

We use wetsuitoutlet.co.uk great service and competative pricing.
As for seals Neoprene every time unless you like the "Noose neck" look..

If you can find a Go Outdoors they have Gul Gamma drysuits for £202.

Just saying.

Www.ardbay.co.uk are pretty reasonable for Gul Code Zero drysuits - although they're based in Scotland so you may have to find somewhere else if you want to try on first.

They have a store in Southampton:

GO Outdoors Southampton | Store Opening Times | GO Outdoors

+1 for Andark, also Marine Superstore up the road in Portsmouth are good (can't comment on their drysuits range or pricing):

Marine Super Store - Chandlery, Marine Electronics, Clothing & Supplies

Sorry to hear the Gul shop has gone, got some great bargains there.
If in Southampton, I wold recommend popping into Decathlon, they should be stocking up on marine gear now and there own brand goods are very good.

Hi folks, many thanks for all your replies, that gives me a few ideas of where to start. Have not used a dry suit before,so this is a first for me. Will hopefully be able to try a couple of different types on and see how they fit, for comfort etc. Thanks again,
Southern.
