Drilling Thro' Hull

Have just watched a chap inside his boat drilling into the "floor" of an old RIB on the hard standing. ( note the use of "'s )

After debating with my boys whether to ask if he knew the bit was going through the hull we decided that, "yes, it may be of help".

We were told that he'd been boating for years and was fitting straps for new tanks and bags and "knew what he was doing".

I mentioned that the bit had drilled through to the outside of the hull, he said it was "ok, it's a double skinned hull and he was using self tappers".

We left him to it.

It IS a cracker. The bit that tickles me most is where he was on the slip, wondering why it wouldn't budge...

When I'm depressed or down, I think about it and I feel much better

Fix...as in temp fix. Borrowed a clam seal off Boristhebold then a fast dash home with Avocet and whisper.

Makes me feel cold just thinking about it and we had the cabin/screen to hide behind.
