That's because, in mass production, it's the cheapest way to do it. Reliability isn't so important with a car, it's in a controlled environment and in ten years time they expect it to be lying shiny-side down in a scrap yard anyway.

I suppose it's not sensible to put a 400hp jet engine in a 5mtr boat (what's happened to him, almost frightened to ask?), and it's not practical to put an electric motor and a ton of lithium batteries in a rib to drive it, so if this is how you want to do it, you go for it. (Fizzzzzzzzzzzz......pop!)

He suddenly started having issues with relays.. pooouuf be gone!! Some of you are seriously leaning into that category, it won’t end well.

It’s do or die with them relays and fuses! Just ask Armstrong.. well you can’t now, can you!! Poooouuuf!
