Crosshaven - Carrigaline - Ford Cork Week

I'm in Cork (staying in Carrigaline town) for the yacht racing from this Saturday for nine days. I know we have some members that hail from those parts. If you are one of them perhaps we should make contact. It would be superb to meet up with some RIB owners at Cork Week or immediate area.

I can be called on 0031 650 426 344 or 0031 70 512 5227 (The Netherlands) or on taitharris@yahoo.com

In anticipation,

Jonathan

I think its a 5.5m Humber (Orange?)
You wont miss it, it will have an Icom flag and banners on it.

As for cheap radio's, only one dealer with be selling on site that will be the Matthews Centre.

I look fowrward to meeting you all out there.

Friday I will be up to my neck setting everything up but after that have no firm plans.

I'm thinking that after racing one evening it would be a hoot to go upriver to Cork City for a few.

I'll be around at the weekends (I think it'll be running over two). We're going to be out for a spin on Saturday, diving on Sunday.

As for taking the boats up to the city, we'd be getting the bus back I imagine! Cork is big enough to have people who might "borrow" them.

My boat will be on a trailer in Crosshaven Boatyard. Drop by and say hello if you see me.

Mosser, think I saw your boat in the boatyard. Navy with red patches? Nice boat!! Will keep an eye out for you on Saturday. Mine is on the marina XS-Rib, blue tubes, grey hull, 150 optimax and a white zodiac tied alongside.

Even if you didn't leave your boat on the River Lee, you'd still have to worry about the Cork "knackers!!" spitting at you off the bridges. Although you can be a harder target if you're doin 30 kts . Hope to see you all out on the water!!
