If you'd have been parked where I was, about 100m off the barge, "Pop" doesn't quite describe the gonad crushing pressure waves. Clients browned oilies also testify to that...

I was half a mile away. Was there a bit of something catching fire up there? Looked like lots of low level flames.

It may have been my Henri Lloyd (!), or there again I believe it actually was a bunch of wooden display framework on the bows of the main barge which caught alight.

I would have to say that the display was quite awesome this year. Those further out would have missed the sight of a second barge steaming flat out around the main display barge and loosing off simulated cannon shots at it...And as for the extended flares flying over your head!!!! You just gotta get closer!

Have to agree regarding the impact of the pressure waves, even at 150m!! The cruiser I was on physically rocked . Also loved the low flying flares....
