Cover!

I had a trawl back thru' the posts to find stuff about covers and didn't come across anything too comprehensive. So, at the risk of going over old ground, has anyone purchased a cheap mooring cover for their RIB and what was their experience with it? Info., contacts details etc appreciated. Thanks.

Here you go:

I have one. Just the ticket. I got a couple of zips put in so that it gets past the A-frame and actually covers the outboard.

Thanks Andy.. looks OK. Is it quite heavy? Will it stay down in strong winds on mooring?

If it the same as mine (and it does look it), yes no problem. The material is pretty heavyweight. We don't use those straps. We just run a few bits of rope right under the hull.

Please see pic.

rib covers

I had this made for my new rib a couple of weeks ago not the cheapest but very heavy duty and you can tow with it on

the only down side is you need to book the rib in for a full day for fitting !!

Company is Sherlock foams based in stockport

used to make most of the covers for Shaun at MGA marine before he sold out

Floater,
At the risk of being cheeky, how expensive was your cover?
I've been thinking about a cover a while but hadn't considered Sherlock foams, I normally only use them for lining flightcases and improving the shock absorption on the seat!
Cheers,
Tim

the reason i needed that cover is that the boat is stored down the side of my Caravan and all vans have to be Green on that site , to blend in as does the boat cover
