Counterfeit Charts - beware

Just when you thought you heard it all.

The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has issued a warning over the dangers posed to the safety of vessels, crews and cargoes by counterfeit nautical charts and publications. It has observed an increase in the number of counterfeit versions of its Admiralty charts and publications in circulation.

lol

I got done on a Tohatsu Clymer from Ebay. The reproduction quality was fine but it totally failed how to explain how to address the engine problem...

But they must be scanned from a real chart so they can't be that far out. Alan P

Alan - you're surely not suggesting that the Admiralty might be more interested in protecting their revenues that actually worried about people's safety/navigation...
