Console set up

Hi all
I have a Zodiac Pro 470 with the typical bench console set up. Would moving the console forward and replacing the bench seat with a jockey seat improve the ride in rough conditions as it is alittle bow light at the moment.
Any advice would be welcome thanks.

I guess without pics etc there is onyl a limited amount we can say, but my 2p's worth is:

1) make sure it;s well fixed down
2) make sure the fixings (that will inevitably go through the floor) are watertight
3) well worth doing a "dry run mock-up" before you start the treal work - I built an instrument console and went through 3 iterations tho get one that looked right, held all the toys and allowed me past to get to the bow! (the latter bing the one that resulted in the 3 iterations.....)

High level thought - forward = drier, but bouncier.

That's the biz!
I have a 1 meter space in front of the console by moving the console forward and dumping the park bench in favour of a jockey seat I believe it will help in rough conditions and avoid that bow light feel.
I also have a built in 35l fuel tank in the console the only worry will be having to renew all the cables to fit. I might have to go someone who knows what they are doing.

It did go very well. I had a 55 litre fuel tank in consol and under deck cabling. I really enjoyed the boat . I just knew i was going to destroy it tho !!
