That was on ebay a couple of weeks ago as I looked at buying it:

I bought a different one partly because it was closer and easier to collect!
the first one looks very similar to mine - but in better condition and cheaper

I had a 4.7 - had to sell it last year and now I'm a SIB'ber but one day I am sure I will have to buy a 4m SR - a classic/cult RIB if ever there was one...

Went to view it today. Looks nice, 1990 package in fair condition. Worth it for you, waiting on my customer to come back but it will sell before he does. Too much niggles to take it there n then, homemade trailer being the biggest issue but all in good to go order. Ideal for the right buyer. I'd need to block the hull off, trunk the transom, sort the trailer and service the motor. That's the only reason I did not take it there n then regardless of my customer. Like I said though for a private buyer it's well worth the asking price. Nice guy too I've dealt with him before and would again

Well after a quick dash across the border this one found its way down to Cornwall!

Looks like an honest boat, the hull and tubes could do with a good clean. I know what you mean about the trailer Peter it looks sturdy enough but I think I'll be on the look out for a proper galvanized one or make one over the winter.

Get ready for lots of SR4 related questions. First thing will probably be putting on an arch for nav lights, not sure if I'm going to block off the flooding hull or not.

Should be a good first step into rib ownership.

Awesome Ross, looks very clean - in terms of VFM and capability that is £1600 (maybe less

) very well spent. Loads of topics on here about blocking off the hull, most do it and don't go back.

Ross, watch that trailer. It's the same gelcoat destroying arrangement that our SR$ sits on.

Glad for you. He dropped to £1500 though for me ?

Anyway I'd suggest blocking it off without question. Think of all that weight your engine mounts are pulling to get it on the plane. They won't like that for too long...

1990 package so money well spent!

I just had this made up for £350 to hang some lights on + pull a skier too, very pleased with the result

made by Marine Fabrications dropped it off 6am & picked it up 4pm same day!

Looks fantastic.

If it's just a ski pole you need check out "turbo swing tow bar" google it they look amazing bits of kit.

That frame looks amazing. Have you tried skiing off it yet?

Mollers yhea thats Falmouth in the back ground of the pictures he had a shock when he filled up at Mylor £2.05 a liter! any advice for retrieving the boat on to the trailer with out damaging it. My deck slopes up towards the transom like yours, who made your arch do you have any design plans for it? how did you secure it to the deck?

Peter, the price was pretty firm by the time I got there, becuase of the amount of interest he'd had. But I got a good deal! Like you say a nice guy to deal with. I will probably block off the flooding holes, want to give it a run with them open first before I decide. I guess it will make loading on to the trailer a lot easier if the hulls not flooded?

Not skied of it yet as only had it made Wednesday, but very pleased with the result

Thanks, it has a large D shape coming off the top circled in red to tow from, I'm thinking I may have to have some extra weight in the bow to keep it down!
I have also blocked off the hull to try & give it the edge to get me out of the water!!!

another tip is to wear a large bouyancy aid, brings more of your body out of the water, less drag
