Changing fuel lines

Hi all.

Sorry this may be a stupid question...

When under way is it okay to change the fuel line between tanks with the engine still turning over (just ticking over)? I just mean a quick switch between two on deck plastic tanks. Only worry was forcing an air bubble into the line or static build up etc

Thanks !

Angus

When you disconnect the fuel supply the ball-bearing in the male fuel connector closes, so there's no air is drawn in. The engine is still drawing fuel from the fuel hose and filter, so no problem about switching. The only issue I've ever had is a fuel tank that's full to brim. Make sure it's properly vented, give a quick pump of the fuel primer and off you go.
