Can't remove the steering cable sleeve

Hi, my steering failed at the end of last year and I am now trying to replace the cable. Long drama upto now but the threaded cable is now out of the sleeve but I cannot seem to disconnect the sleeve from the steering wheel unit. I have removed the pin and two bolts, what am I missing please?

Thanks HDAV, I have the rotary system. I looked on the website for other manuals but could only see installation not removal. Any other ideas?

I'll be honest i thought once the pin was out and the engine detached you could just keep turning the wheel and the cable would fall out?

Me too! All I have read so far would indicate that, maybe some more brute force and less finesse is required. Will need to wait until the weekend again. Thanks though.

I had to return a cable that I got on eBay because the sleeve was already attached and I couldn't get it off!

Where the pin slides in alongside the cable there should be a hole on the side of that fitting. Push the the pin into this hole which moves the mechanism it was previously holding in place. This releases the cable from the steering head.
