Can you I.D this Rib Valve??

Hi there,

I haven't placed any post before but i find this wed site very helpful. I recently bought a 5.5m Ceaser rib with a 90hp outboard. I am very happy with it but like most second hand ribs there is a few small jobs needing doing. One of these is the bow collar valve. The inner part of the valve is damaged and the only thing that is making a seal is the valve cap. There is no markings on the valve what so ever to id the manufacture and in turn purchase a new one. I have look all over the internet to find a valve like it. The one thing that stands out is that the outer part of the valve is a male and threads down into a female part that is internal in the collar, this seems to be the reverse of most valves i see for sale online! I have attached a photo of the valve and i was hoping someone on this site could id the valve. Thanks in advance....Liam

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply but the B7 doesn't seem to be the same. In My valve the other piece threads into a piece within the tube where as the B7 threads out from within the tube, this is where im having the problem as all valves i can find for sale are like that...

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for the info. As i can't remove the inner part without cutting and repatching i have my fingers crossed that the leafield C7 will thread into it.

Regards,

Liam.
