Bow roller

Just a quicky really,

Is nylon too hard a material for a single bow roller for a snipe trailer or is rubber the way to go?

An interesting question......

and answered quite easily. Rubber.

If you look at a good selection of trailers you'll see them fitted out with rubber or some other synthetic material with similar elastic properties.

Further, if you take time to see a few boats being recovered onto trailers with rubber rollers you'll appriciate why something with "give" is better than something solid.
