Bombard explorer SB

Hi guys. Knocking cobra on the head
Looking at buying a Bombard explorer SB with a yamaha 60hp four stroke.
Anyone out there got this outfit and can tell me what to look for.
Also is it a good outboard what am I likely to get speed wise with 2 up.

Explorer is a medium v hull, decent boat but make sure console is far enough forward. We used to have a Zodiac Pro 9 man which was 4.7m with a Suzuki 50hp. With 2 up I think we used to get about 25-28 knots from memory - was quite a while ago though so could be wrong. We had a bench seat and single console (in hindsight for size of boat jockey console may have been better) but the bow used to stay up quite a while before dropping on the plane. Think the layup must be quite light making it bow light. Zodiac owned bombard at the time I think so layup maybe similar.

Will be cleanly made and finished though.

Hi - I agree with all above but you seriously need some weight up front to get on the plane and in a head sea. Chichester bar was Exciting!
