Best Places to advertise RIB for sale (UK)?

Hi,

After 3 years of not getting enough use from my RIB I am looking to sell but wondered where the best places were to advertise.

Obviously the sale section of RIBnet is a start but anywhere else such as Facebook groups you'd recommend?

RIB is based on the South Coast.

Thanks in advance. Joe

I find putting stuff on specific groups on Facebook brings out a lot of to$$ers saying thats too cheap thats too dear does it come with bells & whistles will you swap for a lolipop & games console etc etc many with no intention of buying. I just list on general marketplace & let folk find me they cant post shite on your add then . Appolo duck gets results & is free with 1 photo.
Find a fishing boat works too.

People will scoff but Ebay..no other website gets as many view's. Good pictures and plenty of them Good honest description....you will sell it..they are like rocking horse poop...and you may get more than you imagine...don't let the time wasters put you off...you will find the true market value....go the extra mile with your advert and don't worry about sellers fee's you will make up for those in your sale price compared with Facebook or Gumtree....best of luck.

Thanks for the replies - all very helpful.

Always difficult to judge price. I know what I paid, what I have spent since on upgrades and that the market is strong but prices seem to vary so much. Will do a bit of research and get it out there.

Thanks again. Joe

As mentioned FAFB seems to get good response and you can sort the wheat from the chaff so to speak in terms of viewers. EBay I used to rate but it’s no longer a deal on high ticket items and seller fees.

Once you have a ballpark price in your head, my advice is to stick to it. Depends how quickly you want to sell. Everyone wants a deal, but spend the time on the phone and emails sorting tyre kickers from genuine buyers.

Off-topic, but a few years ago I was looking for a first car as a present for my daughter who’d passed her test. Oh my God. At one point I was handed the keys to a car in the drive from a nipper who was home alone and told to test drive it.

I’d say it’s worth paying the fee and having some decent pics. I’ve not been looking to buy for a while but nothing more frustrating than one crappy image and three lines of description which then mean you have to chase the seller for more pics/details. If that works it must also mean the seller is answering lots of emails from people with the same questions.
