i said i was getting bored and not that i wouldnt defend them! you say "some distance away" the camber is in portsmouth, you could not get any closer to portsmouth harbour if you tried. the chi met was also having gusts of 60knts plus,so it was not a "single gust". in my opinion he was stupid to go out, and like you say its a public forum where you can voice your own opinions, whether people agree of not

Carl - I've got better things to do than argue with you . I have the data on my screen so I know that there were no gusts >60 knots at Cambermet on Saturday morning like you claim , and less than 50 knots at 11am, when you specifically claimed it was over 60! I can also see that Cambermet is pretty close to Portsmouth - but in a completley differnet harbour. To a non-local the Bramblemet data is at least as revevant for a Pompey to Bembridge trip. I'll call it a day - but had you just called Tim stupid people may have agreed with you - you suggested he was more stupid because he operates a charter company.

All the other data points clearly indicate that this was not a representative picture.

It really makes little difference because I would defend Tim's right to assess the situation any make up his own mind, based on all the available information, as for any other pleasure or charter skipper.

well don't make comments on public forums if your not prepared to defend them.
we will leave it there then
