Nice! Is that a 5.4 in the 3rd pic with a Yamaha on? Is that a 115hp?

That's gorgeous! What's the console? It looks like it's made by Avon but I haven't seen one before.

Have you tried a 5.4 with a 115 Opti? I'm tempted to repower mine.

Avon searider 90 PK versus 115 PK

Hi Nos, the console was probably costum buildt, Its Aluminium. And its well balanced Fuel 80 L in the front.

About the engine, If I had to make the choice between 90 or 115 I wouldt take the 90. The boat feels better in all wether circumstances then.

for fun, its nice to have 115 pk it Feels great to use it.

Here's my thinking:-
The 115 opti is the same weight (and block I think) as a 90 opti.
Opti fuel economy at WOT is around the same as my Yam 85.
Cruising at say,25-30 knots with a 115 Opti will mean less RPM than with a 90-and it's the higher end of the rev range that the fuel economy suffers. so in theory I can use a bit less fuel at normal cruising speed and increase my cruising range.
And go like the blue blazes on a nice day

I'm carrying 135 litres with all my tanks full and 85 litres of that can be moved anywhere in the boat so balance isn't too much of a problem.

oh yes it will, my mates touches the water with a merc 125 2stroke hung on the back... he still has the flooding hull. must admit it dose seam to empty the hull quite quick. (a shade over 40 knots apparantly )
