Bluewave 150N Automatic Lifejacket with harness & crutch strap - Marine Warehouse Ltd

SEAGO CLASSIC AUTO GAS LIFEJACKET (NAVY) -180N - Seago Lifejackets - Discount Marine Chandlery and Sailing Equipment. Bargain Boat Spares and Clothing

Thanks

I would recommend the Bluewave recon it is a rebranded MARINEPOOL of which I have some by M.P. And the same branded by compass24 very comfy and 2 of them are10 + years old and going stronge
I also have the equivalent to the seago mine are kru but these do not sit so well on your shoulders and tend to stand up like sticking your collar up!

Go with the Bluewave

Not exactly a known brand:

LJ900 Auto SECUFIT® Light Vest, Safety Aids TRIBORD - Life jackets Boating...

Clearly an attempt to copy the spinlock deck vest at half the price.

Are you wanting crotch strap*, light, hood?

*The correct answer to at least this one is yes. Not sure if the LJ900 has one.

Thanks for the help Shiny Shoe and Nick

Like the look of the LJ900 but I think I would prefer to have a crotch strap so will go with the blue wave

I can't say if the 900 has a crotch strap. Its not mentioned, but doesn't mean there isn't one.

I'm not near a decathlon to look at one and see.

They sell crotch straps for £6 as an after thought! Life Vest Crotch Strap, Safety Aids MARIN EQUIPMENT DIST - Life jackets Boating...

Best to go and try one on. It's surprising how people find one more comfortable than another. Take the gear you'll be wearing it with.

Also consider if you need a harness type. They are designed to take the forces of being thrown around on the end of a safety line. The lifting becket of a non-harness type is strong enough to take your weight being pulled out of the water should the worst occur. But if you're sailing as well, get a harness type of course.
