Atlantic 21 Help!

I have an EX RNLI Atlantic 21, it's a long, long story but I'm trying to Export the boat and I need a Number, I think it's called a Hull Identification Number.

Where on the boat will this be located?

Depends on how old it is, it might not have one, they were only introduced about 10 years ago iirc,. If it has one, they are usually on the stbd side of the transom.

HIN no.

I had a similar problem with a missing engine number on a landrover in Kenya , I got a local Indian engraver to make up a new engine number on a plate and stuck it to the block . Customs inspected and all was fine . If you do make a plate up I think RN ones are black and have abroad arrow . Good luck !

Thought it might be the case, she's 22 years old. So my next question is who sells plates for small builders to number their craft?

Hi Simon TW

Have you put a call into the RNLI HQ for assistance?

Regards

Lewey
