Ashlett Creek / Jolly Sailor - this evening

Thinking of trying the Jolly Sailor at Ashlett Creek for a bite to eat this evening. Having seen posts suggesting you don't get much time on the jetty either side of high water, can anyone with local knowledge advise as to accessibility on this evening's tide please?

Think you will be pushing your luck tonight. HW Stansore Point is approx 17.00 and 3.5m. Anytime after that and your on a falling tide. Although the channel is marked it has drying heights of -0.8m to -2.8m.

Later this week looking more favourable Saturday HW is approx 20.41 and 3.3m so at least you could go in carefully on a rising tide !

That's curious. HW at Warsash is 18.03 and 4.1m. Planning to be there by 5.30ish so will see how it goes. At least there's no rain forecast tonight if we end up high & dry!

Used Met Office data !

Just checked again using secondary port calculations and Stansore Point is approx 17.35 and 3.5m not sure why met office is so different.

Your correct with Warsash timing of 18.03 and depth about 4.1m.

Thanks for confirmation. I only need about 18 inches draft so will give it a go and see what happens!

As for the met office, they rarely get a weather forecast right so.... !

Pics from Ashlett Creek last night as promised.

No problem getting in and out. Food in the Jolly Sailor was okay and not expensive. Not sure if the RIB coming in in one of the shots is another Ribnetter or not.

Lovely evening to be out on the water
