I hope that my navigation skills are not so bad to miss cape Horn and land in Australia , even if I learned from the book "Navigation easy, simple and funny"

Arek is on the way already, but promised me to sent e-mails after all flights and transfers.

If I have something new and is not written on this forum, I will do a post.

Last Sunday I've armoured his already armoured notebook with extra sealings to "sea version" of Toughbook ;-)

arrived

For those who knows polish please kilck on:

http://wyprawy.onet.pl/30560,rel,168...kspedycja.html

It mean they are on land.

As I know ship with RIB transport has a delay and will be first at 10th of February in Punta Arenas.

Possible, possible. As Arek writes.

Last information I got, they are somewhere in bush or jungle making free time adventure waiting on delivery.

As they have fixed back tickets at 24.02 lets see what happen

Arek is now out of internet but look this:

http://www.explona.com/Foto/PC070391.JPG

It is made from same material like canvas for trucks and glued to the tubes.

For sure more information first Arek come back or have Internet again.

Front cover

Thanks for that, I can see much of what I need to do. Is it a permanrnt fixture or can it be undone easily. It would be handy to undo it when not travelling. I thought maybe a zipper arrangement with a flap behind it or over it.

regards Hurri

Hurri, this one was held on by using 1.5" velco glued onto the rubbing strip. It worked suprisingly well and meant that it could quickly be removed. The black velco was hardly noticeable if the cover was removed.

Some photos from Arek:

http://wyprawy.onet.pl/_i/akuna_horn...zladunek_3.jpg

After solving a lot of small problems Arek is making a pause due to 13 and will try to get zarpe tomorrow.

Whole material in polish on
http://wyprawy.onet.pl/30560,rel,169...kspedycja.html

In short. There were problems with custom office, an emergency raft etc.

But Arek will manage. I know it

At 18.10 UTC Arek started from Puenta Arenas.

Hi is driving to Puerto Williams. 307 miles. Should be there after approx. 50-60 hours.

At 21:22 Warsaw time I got the message from his lady that explona
auto-pilot is working very well. Now he is over the overage and we
wait for info from Puerto Williams.

Arek is in Puerto Williams but the weather is bad. Tomorrow evening should be better and he like to go. He meet some Polish in the port and is with them. Tomorrow should come more information. All in boat works and is OK.

OK. I will pass your wishes to him.

Unfortunately zarpe is not enough. Arek got permission from local authorities but not from the local weather yesterday.

Wind was blowing 40-50 kn and in some moments 90 kn, so Arek must wait.

Next better weather forecast is for Thursday.

PS. excellent polish

First of all Arek thanks for wishes and like to give his compliments to RibNet forum Users !

Newest information from "armada" is that he must still wait. Wind on Horn is more than 40kn. He should come tomorrow morning again to "armada" for next forecast. Probably better situation can come in next 48-72 hours.
