Anybody know this boat?

6mtr Commercial Rib. 90hp Evinrude. Ready and licenced 8 passanger, Fully loaded | eBay

I知 in the market for a new tub (new to me that is) this winter, but I知 getting so suspicious of everything I see what with their being so many scams out there! I would give the guy a call but I thought I would ask on here first and see if it's a member痴 boat or if any of the commercial operators on here know of it?

I知 not interested in it as a business venture, only as a pleasure boat.

I dont recognise it and it appears to have 6 seats yet states coded for The Solent for 8, but is appears to have all required local coding items.
I would suggest this looks genuine as linked to CARAVAN/BOAT TOWING Island Wide in East Cowes, Isle Of Wight AND Solent Knight - Contact Us
Coding will probably be Newport Council local coding for The Solent Waters

Hope that helps, I would give a call and view

8-up with a 90hp is asking a lot. This boat is rated for 150hp maximum (assuming its the 6.3m length) it's also known as a Zodiac 15-man Pro, and extra-long shaft.

The seller's website states coding for five adults or 2 adults and 4 children. So either his website is out of date or he's telling "pawkies"

It's very odd that he says next to nothing about the engine...

Got a reply from the chap, and in responce to my questions he's posted some new pictures
Next question,
Are there any issues with running an ex-commercial boat as a private craft?

None Andy, we have sold several boats which were coded and they were to private users, we just removed safety gear, Normally they are like all good boats that have been serviced regularly and have to be maintained to a higher standard than private boats due to annual inspections etc.

The coding expires when a boat is sold except where the new owner applies to transfer it and again the boat should have to be inspected.

Our last Ribtec is still on River Hamble used privately

thanks for that
As a man who is not unaccustomed to buying ex-taxi's
the trade-off with high mileage/hours and a higher level of service and maintenance is one I came to peace with years ago.

You guys are too kind

I'll take a pair of twin erminrudes for my avon 250 please. Then at least when they break I can push them off the weak saddle and row home.
