The searider he's selling is a mid eighties not a mid nineties. Plus I believe the rubbing strake is painted with Dulux black gloss and the tubes are shagged

Of all the threads I've read, this one I understand the least

Perhaps I need an enigma machine

Summary:
A scam engine for sale, or is it?
Bought an engine...no, not that engine
There's a prize involving a barge pole for guessing which one
It must be one up 'T' north involving pans, fires, dodgy geezers, Liverpool Power Boats, Aintree and a whole collection of motorways
The sale hinges on a song called ye haaarrrr that's about wingeing, saddling a horse by someone called danger mouse who uses an answerhpone and smells of fish and who paints rusty trailers with blackboard paint

Way, way beyond me

Ahh. I see you haven't had a visit from the fifth horseman yet.

He's been to see me and left a little present which I believe is good for the roses.

Unfortunatley its in the living room.

I mistakenly bought a 75 mariner off this snakeoil salesman for the sea cadets I help out at, the courier was a mate in an escort with the engine in the boot, the engine came with the wrong type of morse box, no control cables, missing fuel connector to name but a few. It took about 5 weeks of chasing before the matter was resovled, i think he sorted things out because I had his address and threatened to shove the engine up his a&*e until my money came out of his mouth. Touch wood the engine has been fine!
