not all couriers are struggling .unrelated i know but i ordered a pick up tailgate from an ebay seller on 15/12/20 with an estimated delivery date of today 18/12/20 and it arrived yesterday a little over 48 hours after i ordered it .that was a large item middlesex to middlesbrough. so blaming couriers may not be the full story

That's been my experience too. Definitely "patchy" at the moment. I had some prop lock bits from Mcgard in germany that arrived in 48 hrs, brilliant service. Sadly some other shipments with other couriers have not fared so well.

A lot of couriers are really struggling atm, hopefully your delivery will turn up eventually.
if only the couriers would invent some way of seeing where a shipment was in the system, maybe some sort of number you could enter on their website that would let you track it, then a supplier could provide that to me providing confidence it was on its way and reducing his time chasing stuff up. Crazy talk.

I guess the couriers tracking systems are struggling just now but TNT still only took two days to get the goods to me.

Wish you luck ..sounds like you are dealing with a chancer ?
Fortunately this is not something I'm desperate for - a trailer upgrade for 2021.

HI Guys, My main work is procurement so I have an near automatic sense of checking before buying unless it via forums etc. Phil's business was on 20 Aug 2019 as advertised in the Final Gazette dissolved via compulsory strike-off. So I suggest that there will be nothing coming that has any scope for review. Unless, the business has a phoenix new name. Best wishes and all the best for 2021. Iain.

To be fair to Phil, I ought to keep the updates going.

Pleased to say that he provided tracking info over the weekend and the courier's system has confirmed that they have the package so, so far so good. He's done ok so far just need it to be the right item and good quality. Fingers still crossed.

Steve

Bought a hydraulic transom jack from him. Unfortunately when it arrived is wasn't hydraulic but was a manual one. He promised to get a courier to collect it and refund me. This was October 2018.
Still got it here in the office awaiting collection.

Hi guys , could I just make you aware that my family have a business called Anglesey Marine Services and have been receiving phone calls from people looking for Anglesey marine supplies . The two businesses are not nor have ever been connected.
I hope you all get your goods sorted ASAP .

Regards, John

It would only be fair for me to add:

- its seems to be what I ordered - I've not tried fitting it to the trailer yet.
- the TNT tracking info says it was shipped from Portsmouth on the 16th (apparently 2 hrs before parcel supermarket called me) and then says "Shipment delayed in transit Recovery actions underway" on the 17th before being delivered to me on the 18th. -- its almost possible that the story about going the wrong place is true
- bizarrely though a bunch of bolts appeared via myHermes later on the 18th - with no explanation, but they would appear to be the bolts to fit it to the trailer. Odd that these would be shipped separately, with no explanation and arrive the same day as a very delayed original shipment. Still - if he hadn't have shipped the bolts I suppose I would just have shrugged and thought it my fault for not checking they would be included.

Final update from me on this thread.

The long awaited package arrived today. I'd ordered a sliding seat base and got a Nav light!!

Have a good Christmas everyone, hope to see you on the water next year, somewhere.
