I found a source in California (shouldn't be all that hard to find, in truth), but before that, I made my own.

Check dive shops in the area. They may have to order them, but they should be available.

Or a good online dive shop, try Godive or Watersports warehouse.

Make sure it's big and rigid.

Fekkin divers...a piece of limp rag hanging on a stick and I'm supposed to recognise what it is at a mile distant!

from past experience i think i would buy 2 the largest that i could find ,then fly one from a pole and the other i would stretch across the Aframe if you have one , as jwalker has mentioned ,a rag on a stick ,unless the boat coming at you is cross wind they probely wont see it but by stretching a flag across the A frame at least anyone coming astern or bows on will see it ,i know a few boats in busy areas now have boards up instead of flags ,also dont forget to take down the A flag when you have finished diving ,

There's one on Ebay just now from the States (with wire stiffener) that will ship worldwide.

More like Fe**kn yotties and yobs.
I have a large full size one off a ship that was half the length of the old RIB and I still had idiots coming across to ask what it meant, despite trying to head them off with the RIB.
A considerable number of boating folk would not know what an A flag meant or steer to avoid it unless you beat them over the head with the pole it was mounted on.
Don't get me started on A flags, you wouldn't like me taking about A flags...........

just as a matter of intrest do the u.s.a still use the red stripe and white background flag for diving or have they phased it out and use the A FLAG.
