Advice on aux outboard please
I have a SR4 with a Mariner 40MSL
Hight from transom to cav plate is about 18 inch and all is fine,
I have been offered a Tohatsu 3.5 short shaft which is 17 inch
In an ideal world I would have gone for a long but just as a get you home do you think the Tohatsu will do as an aux ? it will have another use on a small inflatable
Oh I plan to mount it straight on the transom too

The short shaft will be fine-it's further along the V so doesn't need a long shaft,.

Recently took the GS to the Outer Hebrides for a week camping
Stunning stunning beaches white sand and crystal clear water
