Aberdeen slipway

Went out to the turbines off Aberdeen on a Windcat the other day for work.

Wondering if anyone knows of a slip near Aberdeen so I could recreate the experience by RIB? Nothing showing on boatlaunch.

RIBase
Cruden Bay possibly. In all my years I’ve never launched out of Aberdeen. It’s a commercial port, no parking, etc.

Cruden Bay (Port Erroll) is just 25 miles north. If weather is decent that’s not too far. We tend to head up the coast (Bullers of Buchan). Great to cruise up and around Peterhead. Lots of wildlife, seabirds.

Launch and retrieve around 2hours either side of high tide as harbour dries out. Plenty parking, toilets and honesty box to launch.

Don’t know what the story is with Cove, there’s no slip, think it’s shingle, plus there was stand off with owner as someone bought the land.
