Aaagghh...what to do...HELP!!

What would you do in this situation?
About 2 weeks ago I agreed with the wife that an upgrade to a new/bigger rib is on the cards this winter.....so...
2days ago whilst cruising to an off island (4500rpm) one of my DT 65's let go with a squeak-bang-gulp.
Had it apart today and the bottom cylinder big end has failed causing the needle bearings and bits of the bottom of the piston to go through one port and mash up the crown of the piston...So need a crank rebuild, rebore as the pot is scored, piston, con rod, and bearings which on a 1993 engine is i don't think is viable..

so:- Do i take up the offer of another dt65 here that may or may not have a good crank in it (he's checking tomorrow) and rebuild my dt knowing that any buyer will be quite nervous of it????
Or:- do i take off the other DT from the rib and sell the good dt with a box of spares, then sell the hull with no engines???
The hull is a 1993 delta dash 5.5 with an expedition console,2 jockey seats, 170l tank, eagle gps and sounder and hummingbird vhf plus double 2 inch alloy (orange) A frame.Tubes are yellow and although faded have no leaks. Also i have a trailer to fit and will work when the wheel bearings are done.
How much would you think the hull is worth ????
Thanks for any advice/moral support.......

Don't sell the hull only, you'll be offered peanuts. Much better with an outboard on the back. Could you not sell the RIB re-rigged for a single outboard with the one DT65 and the other as spares.

Were you buying your larger RIB New, from a dealer or private? I dought that having a single outboard will have much affect on the price over the twin set-up as a PX.

Hull only £1500ish. With an engine maybe £3.5/£4k dependind on how well you can clean/tidy her up. If you are going to sell it do it sooner rather than later as prices are starting to go down now as the summer is nearing an end.
