97 kg too heavy on a SR4?

Is 97 kg too heavy for my SR4? I have a 35HP 2 stroke on it now that weights 77 kg, but looking to get a new Honda 50 HP (lightest new motor I can find, Honda's 40 HP weighs the same as the 50 HP).

A spec sheet for a new Avon/Zodiac SR4 says MAX engine weight is 90 kg.

I'm running 88kgs of Mercury on my SR4 it gives satisfactory performance

It won't. Old AVONs had their Transoms rated for 110 kgs

Thanks for the information Mextli. I wonder if the newer "Zodiac" searider SR4 line up is built any different than my 1998 Avon, for them to currently list the max weight at 90 kg.
