4m Searider Project

As you may have seen on another thread DavyBuoy & I have just bought an orange tubed 4m Searider to do up to raise funds for our local (CRAWLEY) sea cadet unit. There will be some pics of that in a while.

But before that we are completely refurbing another 4m Searider, new transom, deck tubes etc. It also had a horrible wooden console screwed down with mild steel screws......
I need to replace the stainless transom support struts as the ones fitted were mild steel (or rather mostly rust!). I'd like to put some original struts on the boat if possible otherwise we'll gt some made up.

Anyone got a pair of strust in good nick? The cheaper the better!

As you'll see from the photos it's had a cxxp repair to the bow and was also stuffed on the starboard rear too, transom completely rotten. So a fair bit of work to do on it before it hits the water. Oh and the trailers cxxp too! The boat and trailer did only cost £266 though so it's hardly been expensive so far.

Transom already replaced this week, now cutting/grinding deck area to accept new wood. Bloody grp dust!
