2005 Tornado 5.3

Hi all, looking at a 2005 Tornado 5.3 but seller doesnt know what the tubes are made of. Any ideas what they will be?

Also what are your thoughts on Tornados from around this year? I heard some were made in china and quality was not so good but cant seem find a definitive answer to what years they were made out there.

The original tubes were probably polyurethane and I think glued back then. This is not a definitive answer, just what I remember!

I’ve always quite liked them but always buy on condition. If they’ve been washed and covered after every use, they’ll be fine.

As with all ribs if they’ve been abused, they die very quickly!

All strictly imo.

Thanks Ferryman, yes seems like most likely to be PU and lots of reading seems to suggest that PU is as good if not better than Hypalon but I guess there is endless debates on this topic

Looking at a RC 4.8 too, decisions decisions!
