Rib Support request for charity swim - 12th July

Hello All,

My name is Mark Greensit and i am in the process of undertaking a charity swim for weldmar hospice in memory of my Dad David Greensit. Please find link to charity page.

Weather permitting but the swim will take place on the 12th July and involve swimming the length of Chesil beach. Starting at west bay at 5am and swimming to chesil with ETA of 5pm.

My arranged support boat has fallen through so im reaching out on RIBnet to see if anyone with a boat Westbay/Portland way would be able to support me and weldmar hospice on this challenge or could recommend a suitable option.

We will be looking for someone to Drive my support member the entire distance. My support member will cater for my nutritional needs and be responsible for my safety.

Long shot but thought i would give this a try. Thanks for reading my story

Welcome to the forum, good luck with both the event and finding a RIB support boat. Great to see you have massively exceeded your target already.

The liability for any such volunteer boat owner seems to be ever greater these days so you may not have a huge response but I hope a RIB owner with experience of such situations might assist with information.
