New to sibs

Hi all,

I'm in Torbay, recently moved here. Had a jet ski this summer but now selling it on mainly due to running/using costs and launching and recovery which I found a pain in the ass. So still wanting to be able to go out to sea with out too much hassle and cost I bought a new Sunsport airdeck 350 and a Mercury 9.9, had transom wheels fitted and got a Bravo pump. I'm still waiting to go on my first trip if only to run the OB in before the good weather comes back. I've seen loads about Honwaves but not so much about the Sunsport Talamex although I've not seen any bad reports about them. Look forward to reading the treads.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You live in a great place for sibbing. Once Covid tails off it's our plan to have one of the moored liveaboard boats in Brixham for a week with our sib kept alongside for exploring.

I know of the Sunsports but haven't had direct experience. They are imported by the same people as Mercury/Mariner outboards so should have decent backup.

Is yours the airdeck with the hole in to inflate the keel below or the type where the floor inflates in two sections without a separate keel?
