New to forum for Northern CA
Just bought a 2003 Avon/West Marine Hypalon RIB 340. This is my 4th inflatable but first RIB. Previously bought 3 new Zodiacs...12.5' PVC and 15' Hypalon Grand Raid, both powered by a Merc 25 and lastly a 10' PVC Zodiac with a 15 horse Merc. The little 10 footer was a favorite due to ease of transport and storage but I had it folded up in an outbuilding and rats ate huge holes in it! I guess they like the taste of PVC. It went in the garbage.
I used those first three boats primarily for SCUBA, Abalone diving, duck hunting and a little fishing. I've always wanted a RIB for the smoother ride it offers and now I have one! Glad to be here!
