You may want to come round further North up the coast.
Dover is hairy and very steep, and then you've got the Harbour to deal with, so I would avoid.,
Queenborough is pretty good, but lock your valuables away (I've had issues there, but generally they're a friendly bunch)
Herne Bay and Whitstable you now need to pay the council for, but if you have a fishing rod, you get it cheaper!
Ramsgate, whilst it can be quite busy, does have a good and wide slip.
Sandwich there's a nice public slip, but also the Marina has one (that you pay a small amount to)
Not sure about to the east of you so much, Eastbourne?
