Hi everyone!
After renting boats a few times in Greece during vacation, I decided that I actually like it enough to buy my own. But since I hate the idea of trailering a boat, I went for a SIB, currently in the process of being ordered from alibaba.

Interesting that you are ordering a sib unseen from Alibaba. Is it a substantial saving? Aren't there any local distributors you can physically see the sib before buying?

It's quite a bit cheaper from alibaba, yes.

This is what I'm looking at:
boat 380, PVC 1.2 mm thick, thermally welded, plus protection strips, Al floor, air-inflated V keel
motor Parsun 9.8 HP 4 stroke
shade canopy 190 * 120
dolly
transom wheels
anchor + ropes
baggage bags under seats
rope ladder for getting in from the water
6 life vests
digital electric pump 12/220V

2653 USD DDP

Over here they ask about this much for the motor alone, and the accessories tend to be several times more expensive than from alibaba if getting them with the boat (separate shipping would be expensive, though).
So if I bought everything here, I'd be looking at a total bill of 4500+ USD with thinner material and maybe glued not welded.

The seller/manufacturer has 15 years experience and they seem to know what they're doing, so I don't worry about quality.
