Hi from Dartmouth (on Holiday with new RIB)
Hello,
Thanks for creating rib.net, always the first with an answer when I google a question so thought I'd sign up and say "Hi"
We've bought an old 6 mtr Caribe RIB with 15HP Mariner and are currently enjoying using it down in Dartmouth. We live in Ramsgate so looking forwards to using it their afterwards.
Hello to everyone and hope to meet some of you on the water.
Russell

Hi Russel
Welcome to Dartmouth, we're usually out on a 5.5mtr Yellow Tornado with a 115hp on the back, 'will look out for you and say hello.

Welcome to Ribnet! It's a friendly place, and hopefully you'll learn lots. I have!
Did you say a 6m RIB with a 15HP engine? How does that handle? Is it a bit slow, or is it ok? Just curious really.

Hi Ovey,
Nice spot! I should have said 3M/15HP
I originally typed 6M/30HP in my first edit and changed the 30HP when I realised my mistake. Looks like I'm already thinking about a bigger boat....

Ah right, that explains it! You'll probably have a bit more fun with that combination than 6m/15HP!
As for the Freudian slip - I think we're all guilty of buying a boat as the step up to the next!!

Hi Russ, I work in RAMSGATE and was in Dartmouth with Ed last week !
I've a 3m / 6hp SIB in the harbour, access to a mates SR4 (avon searider 4m) + 50 and my own 7.2 ballistic RIB.
I've always fancied an adventure across sandwich bay in the SIB (it's never left the harbour to date).
Jelious of a weeks holiday in Dartmouth!

Hi Dan, small world!
Sorry for the slow response. I'm back at work now, wish that was in Ramsgate instead of London.
Sounds like you've got plenty of toys. Is the 7.2 on the water? The searider must be quick ? Out of interest do you launch of the East cliff?

Ask me about the SR4 next week I bought her yesterday!
I don't keep the ballistic afloat for more than a week or so at a time, we've just had a run down to Brighton in her today with the round Brittan boys.
