Hello from New Zealand
Hi there, One geriatric from NZ here. My name is Arthur, I live in Te Awamutu. I have had numerous small dingys, wooden, f/glass, tinnys and now an inflatable.
I mostly get out on our local hydro lakes, trout fishing,( not a very good angler ). In NZ, trout fishing isn't the preserve of the toffee nosed crowd. Anyone can buy a yearly licence for about 35 English pounds and access freshwater fishing nation wide.
I take my camera and get photos of the various water fowl life if the fishing is a bit slow. Take care.

Welcome aboard Arthur! I'm based in The Solent. You can't beat a day on the water can you? Hoping to get out to view the J class regatta today with camera in tow. Great to get photo's from a different perspective. Enjoy the forum.

I was over to see the Rugby at the end of last year and visited some friends of my father (Originally from the Masterton Area but now lives in Zimbabwe) in Cambridge - great part of the world and would love to live in NZ one day!

Hi and welcome from Northern Ireland. Been over to NZ - not too far from yourself. A team of us from here were invited by Air NZ to fish a Kahawai salt fly tournament in the Bay of Islands based in Paihia.
We were in the competition five years running, and actually managed to win it one year. Also fished for trout on the rivers around Turangi.
