Hello from Devon
Hi there all, I am a new member having just bought my first RIB aged 18. A 5.5 meter Zodiac Pro. I am interested in all types of boating having started by yachting and dinghy sailing in Dartmouth and Exmouth. I love wakeboarding and have always wanted a boat of my own so hence my decision to buy a RIB.

Hello
Welcome - you're not alone in that neck of the woods. We're a bit further over but take a look at the pasty run and come meet some more of the SW boys

Thanks teerat, I had already seen the pasty run. It looks like a good laugh. I’ll see if I can get along.

Thanks Arkamelis, I am already so impressed with this forum so useful. Do you know what the charge is for using the new slipway at Exmouth

re
hi there
not sure of the charge and even if there is one for using the slip, i know you have to pay for parking, i think its good you have the car park at the top of the slipway tho, not sure how many spaces for trailers there is. cracking fish restaurant next to it. you ever been in the floating restaurant ?

Yes the exe cafe does the best paella out there and the muscles are so good. I was there the other day and it didn’t look like there was a charge just wondered if anyone’s had any experience of using it

i might have to use it now, this new boat i have is wider than the last one, think i might struggle getting it through the alleyway. one thing so far about the new slipway, it is much wider now, and on a angle compared to the old one, heard many stories of the old one, people going off the edge, and current flowing past it made it very hard to launch. so hopefully this new slip they have compensated for that " we hope "
