Hello from Alderney...
I've had a small SIB with a 6HP 4 stroke for mucking around in the various bays here and have just invested a tiny amount, judging by some of the setups on here, in a Flatacraft 4 GT (had to be a GT or above as I don't like the look of that horrible flat frontend of the basic model) and a 40 HP 2 stroke so I can easily get around the island and perhaps a bit further afield once my confidence is up. The Flatacrafts don't have a particularly deep hull so I'm assuming it'd be a bit bouncy in the swinge or the race!
Maybe see some of you on expeditions during the coming summer(s) if I'm around I can always help ferry kit in to the jetty if you miss the tide...
