Hi,
I have an old Tornado 5.2m rib with Etec 75hp and have had it for a year now .. it's seen plenty of fishing and day trips in that time.
It has a few niggles that need to be sorted to my liking as it aint perfect lol, I'll get on to those at some point.
The main thing that I want to deal with is the fuel capacity to go with my distance ambition - I currently have a 40lt tank so I carry up to 45lt in cans as I see fit. I am contemplating fitting a 120lt plastic fuel tank to avoid having to handle the Jerry cans when on the water and get me a 150+mile range.
As I had visitors this weekend I hired a 6.2m rib with plenty of fuel capacity with a speed up to 36kts for a 120mile round trip (cruise was about 22kts) - the sort of distance I'd like to cover with my Tornado for me & the Missus without having to stop off for additional fuel.
