Good evening from Portsmouth/Poole

Good Evening All,

Been a silent user for sometime, infact since I passed my PB2 a few months ago.

I'm in a very fortunate position to be able to do the watersports on offer through work, therfore, previously to gaining PB2 I also gained my Day Skipper (yatching), Diesel engine course cert, and SRC VHF. I plan to attend a Coastol Skipper shorebased in the new year.

I really want to get some more experience skippering RIBs so would be grateful for some guidance on:

- the most reasonable provider of bareboat chartering around the Solent

- if I were to gain further quals eg PB Adv, with Commercial Endorsment, what are the oppurtunities like to work for a Charter company?

Hello and welcome to ribnet.

Solent rib charter based in Lymington but cover the whole area you mention, (Portsmouth to Poole) are the largest charter company and do bareboat hire. Certainly worth a google or phone call.
