Finally signed up!!

Hi there, finally got around to signing up having been actively reading the posts for some time now. Used to have a great Humber ocean pro 5.3 ( currently up for sale) but whilst a great rib it doesn't really work for young kids so had to let her go and go for something more family friendly...ribeye 650. I know loads of you hate them but it ticks all the boxes for Solent area family use with the ability to still have a fun blast at 40knts when the kids aren't there!

See you on the water!

Going from an O-Pro to a Ribeye is likely to cause some discussion.

- bottom line is it dosn't matter what you got if it does what you need it to do!

The humber was a great boat, sad to see it go really but needs must and all that. I'd say the humber was like a go-kart but the Ribeye is the sports version of family saloon! Fun but not quite as hardcore, but perfect for a 2 and 3 yr old.
So far the Ribeye is working really well and certainly very happy with it.

had to replace the cowling a while back and didn't pay the huge amount extra for the stickers to go on it!
We gave it a new more solid a-frame and new wiring recently.

RIBase
There's a guy on Ebay in the US does 'fancier' graphics for cowlings that look very very good indeed-I've got a set waiting to go on my opti and they're far cheaper than the originals too. Worth a look, and his shipping charges aren't bad.

This is the guy here:-

I think Maxi might be suggesting that your username is very similar to another user's; and the underscore that differentiates it is difficult to see (because it is all underlined). If you want to change username ping us an private message - the moderators can't do it directly but we can get the back room people to do it for you.
