US Member traveling across the pond!

Ribnet members,

I am planning on a 10 day trip to your neck of the woods with my wife and children. We're looking at traveling through Ireland, Scotland and Great Britain.

Curious to hear some thoughts on where to start and end the trip and what you would recommend along the way. We will likely be traveling November 22nd for about 10 days and may extend the trip to 14 days if needed.

I don't think the weather will be the best for us to get out on the water much, but figured since we're coming to your countries, I would value your feedback on what to do and what would make this a memorable trip.

My children are 12, 11 and 6 years old.

Thanks!
SoCal Hurricane

We could really do with a bit more of what you guys like to do, what you'd like to see, and how you plan to get around, car, train etc.
10 - 14 days isn't long enough so you'll only get to flit through the highlights and if you want to go to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales & England you'll spend/waste 50% of your time travelling.
You've probably picked one of the most wet, damp, miserable times of the year to visit the UK & Ireland. So unless we get a freak "high" - cold, blue skies and sun - I'd be inclined to visit cities and towns and venture to the coast/country if you get a decent weather window.
