Its not wet here, its been beautiful today kids have been playing on the beach & I managed to get sunburnt, the ride over from Cambeltown took 1hr20, one of the best crossings ever. Vis at sea was good but someone was trying to hide the coast under a cloud, couldnt see Ireland or rathlin until we were within 5 miles but the sun came out to greet us as we came across the bay at 7.30 last night. Apparently port rush is busy so going to stay here a couple of days then head along there then over to Rathlin later in the week.
All in all a great trip so far. I'm amazed at the number & diversity of redbays here I knew they were popular but theres some real nice examples here

Be interesting to know but a similar size gin palace would be 1-1.5m & I bet this is in a similar ballpark but so much cooler.
Maybe willk knows but possibly sworn to secrecy

There are certain things that should remain between a gentleman and his bespoke boatbuilder...

However, I CAN tell you that it has a washing machine!

I guessed it would be a case of if you need to ask the price, you can't afford it [emoji6]

Seeing all these bigger cruising style redbay boats makes me wonder if they take off will redbay go the way of the likes of sunseeker fairline princess & sealine who all started making affordable (ish) smaller boats but then found it more profitable to build bigger more expensive boats & dropped the smaller boats in the range.
Time will tell I guess.
I'd imagine those 1450s etc would appeal to a lot of folk who might want cruising comfort but also like the utilitarian looks of a rib rather than something more conventional

There certainly is a solid demand for the big boats, although I know plenty of smaller open craft were delivered this season also.

Excellent, thoroughly enjoyed it! it didnt live up to its fearsome reputation sea conditions wise , its been flat every time we moved. The boys (3&5) have enjoyed themselves, caught some fish and generally had a good time. We're in port Ellen now heading for iona tomorrow then onto Fingals cave as they want to see the other end of the giants causeway.
Thanks for the info early on, it helped a lot & maybe when there a bit older we'll make it round to your neck of the woods.
