Zodiac Serie 1

I posted this message in the wrong section originally. Put it down to my age.
Anyway, I recently bought a dark grey Zodiac Serie 1 off Ebay. It's got a few untidy patches and a grotty repair on the port bow where the floor and tube have parted company.
My problem is that I'm not sure what it's made of: the part used repair kit that came with it was for hypalon, and although the patches are ugly, they are firmly stuck on. Would they stick if the boat was PVC?
I sanded a bit of fabric and it went matte. I think PVC just scratches.
However, I think this boat was made too late to be hypalon.
The fabric shows no sign of uv damage and is still flexible.
Any ideas, anyone, as to whether it's PVC or Hypalon?
Thanks.
