Zodiac Futura MK3 Manuals

Hello to everyone,

I own a 2006 Futura MK3.

Does anybody have the owner's and/or service manual?

Thank you in advance,

Markos

I have an owner's manual. It comes in two books. The first is general information for all Zodiacs. The second is specific to each range. What do you need to know?

Is there anything in there about engine height - ie where the anti-cat plate should be relative to the hull?

It says height may vary due to different motor manufacturers.

I will say: Set it so the anti-ventilation plate is skimming the surface of the water when planing.
Due to the speed tubes, the hull rises quite a bit after getting up on plane.
I have mine 3 holes up.
I tried 2, then moved it up one more.
Try either. Your prop will make a difference too.

It is not easy to see this, but the anti-cav plate is about 1" below the hull and about level with the lowest point on the speed tubes.

The prop is a Black Max (10 5/8 x 12") and I get around 27mph (GPS) at WOT

I'd like to get mid thirties, not sure if the engine is too low or I need a different prop?

Your engine is 1 to 2 inches low, in my opinion.

Be sure to set it to tilt position 2 or 3.

Depends on your WOT RPM.

As Futura's ride up on the speed tubes when on the plane, would you not adjust the engine height according to the speed tubes height rather than hull?
I used to have a MK2C with a 30hp Yam and got around 28 knots. I'd expect yours, with a 50hp to be doing well over 35!

Adjust motor height through trial and error. There's only one way:
Set it 2 holes up and take it out on the water to see how it looks and performs at full speed. Maybe you can move it up one more, or maybe not.

Hull specifications state max speed as 37 MPH.
The best I can wring out of mine with 50 HP is 33-34, but its rated for max 60 HP.
