Zodiac Futura Floor Paint ?

I would like to find out what type, brand, color (flat finish silver), etc. of paint that is used for the (2) wood floor boards in the bow (forward of the aluminum floor) in my Futura MarkIIc. Any idea? Anything comperable to what Zodiac used... suggestions?

I would like to brush a fresh top coat on to cosmetically cover up scuffs, and more importantly, to further protect. I would like to avoid having to later completeley tear down the Zodiac to replace these boards if at all possible.

Thanks..
Edmund

I don't know which the official paint is, but I used aluminium paint on mine with no ill effects (which leads me to guess that is the original paint too).

All I am finding locally is a Rust inhibitor type Enamel in the Bright Aluminum Metallic color, by Rustoleum. Although made for metal, the store tells me it can also be used for wood as in my application. It is a bright glossy type in a can, to be brushed, not sprayed on.

Thanks for your reply...

I have a zodiac 350 sport had a full marine ply floor painted blue. I use it for fishing and would have prefered an alloy floor but the width dimensions of the zodiac over other similar boats swayed me.

I have 4 wooden panels with alloy edges/supports, I purchased some 2mm alloy tread plate and cut it to fit over the exposed painted marine ply. I now have a nice solid alloy tread surface for fishing and no more painting.

You could get 1 or 2mm alloy plain plate to match your other alloy plates and cover over the top of the wooden sections looks much better than wood and paint.
