Zodiac Cadet 360 Fastroller or Island IA365 ?

Hi,

The Zodiac Cadet 360 Fastroller looks great, is light at 44kg, has an excellent payload, but costs a $1000 more than an island inflatable IA365.

Inflatable Boats | Outboard Motors for Sale | Inflatable Boat Dealer | Inflatable Boat for Sale

Both have air decks, however the island is heavier at 50 kg and has a 100 kg lower payload at 650 kg. The zodiac can take 6 people, whilst the Island can take 5.

I want to buy a Yamaha 15 hp 2 stroke.

The big question is? Which boat is better quality, and which boat performs well on the water.

The review on this forum indicated quality problems, so I am not 100% sure about a Zodiac.

Thanks
Sean

Sean that was my review you mention I guess? There's not much more to add but it has to be said my issues were a combination of the quest for ultimate low weight and quality control issues.

I see your comments re a bad back in the other hread, the Fastroler was brilliant in this respect. So so light for the size.

Thank you. After looking for more info, it would seem the glue on the Zodiac might be better, and that the boat would last.

I am not really interested in a tinny, and want something with a better ride.
The zodiac looks like lots of fun.

I use to work with my old man who had a Zodiac inflatable shop for over 40 years. Basically the Zodiac will last for a good 10-15 years. Whereas the Island inflatable is designed to last 5 years tops.

Thank you. I found more info on the Zodiac welds, 5 year warranty and that they are made in France. Looks like the Zodiac is a better boat.
