Yam 380s

My Yam 380s set up is slowly getting there, everything is ordered but thanks to supplier delays I am still waiting for half the set up lol.

Delivered so far is the Yam 380s, Yamaha 20hp outboard, Outboard trolley, Yam bow cover/bag and Trem HD wheels.

Due within the next 2 weeks are the Yamaha 6hp outboard, additional Yam seat, Yam saddle bag, Garmin 86s, Icom M25 VHF and Jobe buoyancy aids for all the family.

Despite this the main components are there as we have our old buoyancy aids so we have managed a cheeky day out on the broads so far. Trem wheels are now fitted and new D rings for bow cover are curing as I type this.

A few pictures of YamYam so far.

Looks fab. I have a YAM Sti 3.1 with an 8hp which I love. But really like your set up. Sadly, funds wont allow an upgrade to something similar to yours at the moment. But hopefully next year.

How do you find this set up? What kind of speed can you achieve, in particularly when fully loaded?

Hi mate

The Ally floor was essential to us and we love the set up as it works really well. the Trem wheels was only fitted last night. But without the wheels on, last week we visited the broads and was set up in 30minutes and on our way and the 20hp was no issue making use of the trolley.

The 20hp is brand new so she is just being run in at the moment as we only got an hour and a half out on the water so far but we are expecting fully loaded with myself, Mrs, 13yo, 9yo and 2yo plus bits we should still be seeing a minimum of 20mph in perfect conditions

We bought the 20hp for coastal and strong tide areas, the 6hp will be our broads power but that is due to arrive the first week of October. The 6hp should be around 8mph fully loaded but its for the broads so speed isn't an issue

Thank you, she is getting there. It’s just a pain with the delay in supplies because so impatient lol.

I’m really looking forward to the chartplotter arriving as well because we plan on exploring a lot of the creeks around us.

I’m popping over to Mersea next week to see a couple of friends so I’m going to pop in to my old works to blag use of their slipway.
